TO MOM, WITH LOVE

I had an angel here beside me,
Sent to Earth to help and guide me,
An angel always there for me
Sent to love and care for me.

She did the things that angels should:
She taught me what was bad and good,
She gave me hope when no one cared,
She held my hand when I was scared,
She cheered me up when I was down
(She could make a smile from a frown),
She doctored me when I was sick,
And many another angel trick.

Today my angel earned her wings,
Her halo, harp and other things.
But today I'm lost and all alone
For today God called my angel home.

CREUTZFELDT-JAKOB DISEASE (CJD)


CJD is a disorder of the brain that often strikes suddenly and progresses with great speed. Its cause is a scientific mystery.

SYMPTOMS:

Early symptoms include but are not limited to:
  • Insomnia
  • Balance Problems
  • Inability to express yourself properly
  • Losing your train of thought
  • Speaks of things not of the subject being discussed
  • Loss of desire to eat
  • Loss of interest in favorite hobbies or visiting
  • Personality/Behavior changes

Later symptoms include but are not limited to:

  • Massive behavior changes
  • Increased dementia
  • Vision loss
  • Obsessed with having you by their side constantly
  • Obsession with anything
  • Frequent headaches and violent vomiting during them
  • An angry, upset or crazed look in the eyes
  • Sensitivity to light and sound
  • Paranoia/major depression with constant crying
  • Massive memory, judgement and thinking losses
  • Soon loses total ability to speak or communicate
  • Involuntary spasms and loss of control of muscles
  • Rapid loss of ablity to walk and care for ones self
