Monthly Rambling or One Year Later...

It's baaaaaaaaack!

Yes, ladies and gents, HEROES has returned! For almost a year now it's been teetering on the brink of doom, but thanks to the heroic efforts of Brian Campo and Rhel na DecVande there were actually psudo-updates providing life support and then I suddenly got the bug up my ass to update this puppy and make it once again the wonderful community site it once was. (I'm so full of it.)

But, I'm coming off of my worst year writing wise, not just fanfiction. All of 2000 I did not write a single thing. Yep, the Y2k bug was not a myth, it went off in my head. Only it waited until May. And it didn't shut me down completely.

But, the wonderful world of Real Life [TM & (c)] came and tore me a new one and now that it's settled down I'm getting back into doing things I want to do, like working on my writing and budding porn star career. And, I figured it would be fair if I didn't return to the world of fanfiction and ignore HEROES.

So, I went and played catch up. Man oh man have things changed. There are too many groups to count now (what, I leave and you all have a field day?!?!!!), many of the ones I remember either starting or flourishing when I stepped back are now struggling (but most are on the mend, which rules!), and all these new faces!

So, I'm updating HEROES and things are being done a bit differently now. I'm leaving the monthly format behind, it required too much effort in a spurt to be able to churn this out month to month. Instead, I'm updating this thing as I get stuff (if you're interested in submitting, check out the new submissions page). There will (ideally) be a new cover month to month, but otherwise updates will happen as stuff is available, so keep coming back, or join our mailing list and be in the know!

There are a couple of new things floating around too. I've gotten new message boards (thought I'm thinking of changing them again, we'll see) and there's now a real chat room, provided with the mailing list by Yahoo Groups. We even have weekly chats in there every Friday at 1230 EST (1730 GMT). Come on in and talk with other ficcers about fanfic and stuff. Anything goes really. There's also a new Index Page provided by BlogSpot. It's the provided pages from Blogger, a neat weblogging thing that lets me easily update the page at anytime. The old site works great, that's where the cover is (yea, cover!) Um....I think that's really in on the "Brand New" stuff, but keep coming back (or the mailing list) to see what else I do cause I'm always playing with this thing now.
