Marvel Universe: Transformed
by MU:TF EiC Karl V
Ever been asked when you are seen holding a pile of comics from your pull file "Aren't you too old to read those?".
The usual response would be no, since the person asking typically doesn't know what's inside the comics.
In the same regard, when someone sees "Isn't Transformers just a kiddie cartoon with a toyline attached to it? Why even attempt to put in in the same universe as Marvel?" I consider it to be the same as the person asking if I'm too old for comics. Typically, they have yet to see the product inside. I'll admit that our earlier issues have gone fanboyish at times {Cable having Megatron as a gun...}, but typically it's not all fun. X-Men is a Prime example of just how well this could be handled with respect and more than enough maturity to escape the stigma of Transformers being just a kiddie line of toys and cartoon interacting with the familiar mutants of Marvel.
If you have yet to read something at Marvel Universe: Transformed, then I suggest to do so. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised at our handling of a "kiddie line" to make it something beyond that. Right now, we're sort of suffering the "crossover lag" that all groups experience. However, this gives one ample time to catch up and let us know how we are doing. Be sure to check out the article on the upcoming X-Over as well: Phalanx Ascension.
