Love Is A Thief

Like the wind in the trees, you whisper my name,
I flutter around you like a moth to the flame,
Yet I feel quite safe as I play by the fire,
And find I'm coccooned in your web of desire.

As I drink of this drug I am docile and mild,
And I feel your love in the laugh of a child,
Welling up in my breast, raining down on our bed,
As our hands seek each other, the magic is fed.

And it feels so right, you and me here,
As together our lips banish all of my fears,
And Love is a thief, stealing my tears,
As all my fantasies disappear, leaving you here....

Love is a thief.

I used to be scared, I would hide on my shelf,
For Love is a thief that would rob me a self,
Fantasies were my fort, I'd sleep so secure,
But at night my dreams would unlock the door.

And oh! how I fought to not let you in,
But the more that I fought, the less I would win.

And it feels so right, you and me here,
As together our lips banish all of my fears,
And Love is a theif stealing my tears,
As all my fantasies disappear,
Leaving you here ....
