| "Superhombre", Libro de Vacaciones ("Vacation Book"), November 1953-March 1954. It was a magazine half the size of the regular one, but with 100 pages, and was supposed to be enjoyed by (young) readers during the school summer holidays. As was common in Argentine those years, comic magazines were made as cheap as possible, with the lowest-grade paper, even for covers. There was only a colored story, the one starring "Superhombre" in the center of the magazine; the rest was strictly B & W; but with a very powerful black printing, which made the comics pleasant to the eye, I must say. This particular issue had an all-star contents, featuring "Venado", "Tommy Futuro"("T.Tomorrow"), "Flecha Verde" ("Green Arrow"), "Superhombre" ("Superman"), "Hacha Brava" ("Tomahawk"), "Congo Bill", "Rex Trueno", "Superpibe" ("Pibe" is Argentinian for "boy") and "Extraña Aventura", a SF yarn from D.C.'s "Mystery in Space" or "Strange Adventures". Wow! What a happy summer vacation, considering there was also a "Murciélago" (later "Batman") Annual too, also published by Muchnik Editores of Buenos Aires! | ||
