| "Cuentos de Brujas" Nº 9, June 1952. Carlos M. Federici is especially fond of that particular issue, for it was the very first horror mag ever which came before his eager 9-year-old eyes, and it certainly opened a new, amazing door for Him!... He became a terror comic-addict since then, and his collection grew and grew (until it was brutally stopped by the infamous campaign against comics in the middle '50s, as well as emerging TV...). The cover is a masterpiece of Lee Elias, and the contents, aptly presented by The Witch in the first page, include: "Gelatina Mortal" ("Deadly Jelly"), which made me a Bob Powell inconditional for life; "Los Caballeros del Mal" ("Knights of Evil"), by anonymous though competent artist; "Las Siete Calaveras de Magondi" ("The Seven Skulls of Magondi"), by Lee Elias, another talented artist; and "El Túnel Maldito" ("Accursed Tunnel"), also very well done both in script and art.(Titles were slightly altered on the cover, God knows why)... A real collector's item, and his treasure! | ||
