El Despertar del Mundo Nš4, February 28, 1955

"El Despertar del Mundo" Nº4, published by "La Prensa" of Mexico city, February 28, 1955. A version in Spanish language of "1.000.000 Years Ago", conceived in USA by Joe Kubert (main art) and Norman Maurer (scriptwriter supreme). This issue marked the end of the character in Spanish (regretfully), although the magazine continued with SF stuff (of all things!), under the same title and with very fine stories also. The present magazine contains 3 "Tor" yarns (the main character of the series, a caveman sidekicked by a Monkeylike little fellow by the name of "Chee-Chee"), all by the masterful brush of Joe Kubert, a centerfold (or "Panelrama", as they called the two-page spread illo) starring the same "Tor", and an episode of "Daniel's Dreams", about a boy of the '50s who used to dream (?) he was in Prehistoric times. This one shows the inking of George Roussos over Kubert's pencils. In all, a "killer" mag, which I dearly treasure.
