"Mundos Fantásticos"
Nº3, Editorial Proteo of México, 15 June 1953. Under that title,
Spanish versions of two top SF comic mags were published: "Fantastic Worlds"
and "Lost Worlds", both originally published in USA by Standard/Better
publication, unfortunatelly for a ridiculously short run (only 3 issues
of "FW" and 2 of "LW"). Which was a real pity, for both magazines were
graced with an above-average staff of writers and artists, anonymous the
first, as was then customary , and with the talents of Alex Toth, Jack
Katz and other first-classers among the brush & ink people. I've always
rated those stories among the very best in the genre, because they had
that enchanting pulp flavor that made them really special and unique. This
issue in particular is the version of "LW" #5 (which was the first one,
for there were no issues 1-4), and is filled with 4 small masterpieces
of the line.
