"Mundos Prohibidos"Nº27. March, 1954. The Spanish version of "Forbidden Worlds", made, like its companion comic book "Terror en la Noche" directly in USA to be distributed in Latin America. An excellent example of an horror Pre-Code comic book -which, unfortunatelly would plummet down in quality after the infamous Code became applied in full-, contained 4 first-class stories, although the art department left a bit to be desired, except for the last story, "¡Pánico en Carnaval!" ("Panic in Mardi Gras!"), an usigned, masterfully rendered piece, which combined horriffic and romantic elements with supreme tact in just five pages.  The rest of the stuff presented: "¡La Cosa de los Cabellos Dorados!" ("The Golden-haired Thing"), the cover story; "El Reino de los Muertos" ("Kingdom of Death"), with nice art and suspenseful script; "El Espectro Amigo" ("Friendly Ghost"), a two-pager filler; "¡Terror en el Circo!"("Terror at the Circus!"), drawn by Kenneth Landau, who would later leave brush and ink and climb into the stage as "Martin" to TV and movie fame; and two black & white fillers, both nicely done. One of the treasures of my collection, which I bought from a friend who managed to keep it for over 30 years with the looks of a one-weeker comic book. (I wonder if he ever took those magazines to read, or just had them stored..., and this was much before the collector craze!)
With thanks to  Carlos M. Federici for the scan and the text.
