From the same issue of the previous sample, I sellected page Nº6 of same story. Here is shown in full the dramatic staging of Joe's scenes, as much as his innovative page layout. The use of a characteristic high-and-narrow panel at left gives the page an unusual sensation of grandiosity, which the artist would apply with assiduity in most stories of the saga. No dinosaurs in sight here, for this time the killing was strictly in the hands of human beings..., and very competently done! Tor and his kind were learning the survival code fast enough... |
