"Selva" Nº37

From "Selva" Nº37, once more, here is page 2 of the first story, "El Rey de las Tierras Perdidas" ("King of Land Lost"), which in fact tells the origin of Thun'da, formerly Roger Drum, a WWII pilot who fell down in an uncharted land, "not far from the Sahara desert". In this page, the aviator is confronted by no less than a dinosaur (no vegetarian this one, but sort of "planivorous", as you may gather from panel 2) and a green Pterodactyl of rapacious nature... Troglodytes aren't that far (just a page farther), but we'll give a look at them in my next sample. It's interesting to compare Frazetta's rendering of antediluvian creatures with that of Joe Kubert, shown in this same site. Frank's paleo-subjects seem a bit more "sinister" than Joe's to me. Watch for next page. It's a real beauty too, I promise you!
