"Cuentos de Brujas" Nº14, November 1952

Bob Powell, as I said, was as his best in the horror genre; and he seemed to have taken a fondness for hellish matters. You've already appreciated his page of "La Liga de los Condenados"; now I'm  bringing another page of similar theme, from "Cuentos de Brujas" Nº14, of November 1952: following the former (which was Nº13), he went even deeper in his exploration of infernal horrors: now we're shown the Horrid Pit itself, with fires and all... This is page 6 of "El Pozo de los Condenados" ("The Pit of the Damned"), and I really had a hard time in choosing one among the seven splendid pages of the story. Powell's mastery of the medium, and his innovative approach are in full shine, making this story, about the owner of a "Spook House" who gets involved in devilish bargains in order to attract people to his show, a really delectable yarn for us classic horror-comics fans... Enjoy it!
