GUIDELINES
1. SCOPE:
- Modern mythology is the mythology of our generation- a description of our time as you
perceive it, not a retelling of classical mythology.
- Fiction, poetry, and artwork only.
- If this is confusing, try a sample copy.
- Zine is full sized with glossy b&w cover. Length varies issue to issue.
2. SPECS:
- 4000 word max, no minimum.
- Cover letter required. Must include date, name, address, and titles of all submissions, and
must be on 8½ x 11" paper. Additional text in cover letter is allowed but not required.
- Email and paper submissions OK, disk submissions not considered.
- Email submissions in text format ONLY, with "sub" in the subject line.>
- Simultaneous subs OK. Multiple subs OK up to 10 poems or 3 stories.
- All paper submissions considered disposable unless notified otherwise.
- RT two months. No reading periods.
- SASE required on paper submissions. 2 IRCs and addressed envelope required for
international submissions.
3. ART:
- Send sample work only. We will contact you to illustrate. SASE not necessary.
- If you only illustrate certain subject matter, please specify when you send sample work
- Sample work may be updated once a year, but no more frequently.
- Payment for solicited illustration is a variable flat fee.
4. IF ACCEPTED:
- All accepted work over 1000 words must be available in some electronic format.
- Lead time averages one year.
- Some stories may be illustrated at the discretion of the editor.
- Grammatical and minor stylistic changes may be made.
- Payment is one contributor's copy only.
5. SUBSCRIPTIONS:
- Sample copies $4.50
- 1-year subscription (2 issues) $8.70
- Bulk rates available
- U.S. stamps are acceptable as payment from international subscribers only.
- Checks must be payable Beverly Moore.

- Ad trades welcomed.
