Medusa's Hairdo Magazine

Publication Schedule for 1998

To all contributors:

Most of you received a letter very similar to this one a year ago, and for those of you who have still not been published, I am sincerely sorry. However I think that you can see from the short list below that I have been working through my backlog while accepting very few submissions, and so I think that I have reached the point where a one-year lead time will be a maximum and not a minimum.

In fact, I've made several important changes since I spoke with you last. I've gone to a reading periods system, where the reading periods match up with my academic holidays, so that response times are greatly decreased for submittors; I've completely reworked the website, and given it a new address http://sac.uky.edu/~bymoor0/medusa/mh.htm , and I've been fortunate enough to obtain a scanner, so that magazine layout is greatly improved. Be sure to read the enclosed gls to familiarize yourself with the new information.

Most importantly of all, though, I've realized that the only times I really ever get work done on putting out an issue are during Christmas and in the summer. Therefore, MH is now firmly a twice-a-year operation, with publication in December and June. The publication dates I give you below should be very accurate.

What should you do till June or December of 1998? Buy a sample copy, or subscribe. Visit our new writing exercise, "Ramble Aimlessly" accessible from the MH website. Submit, even. I'm looking forward to hearing from you!

Bev
