George Tatarnikov was born in 1914 in Saratov, Russia. He studied in art studio of national creation before the II World War. Among his teachers were the prominent masters Fogel, Zaitzev (teachers of Academy of Art in St.-Petersburg, Russia). During the Great Patriotic War (The II World War 1939 - 1945) George Tatarnikov served in the Navy and fighted on the Baltic Fleet. At that time he made posters, drawings in newspapers, portraits of military leaders, heroes of war, and etc. From 1947 George Tatarnikov was a member of the Artist's Union of the USSR. He was a regular participant of different exhibitions, that took place in Leningrad, Moscow and other cities of the USSR. The works of this artist are in various museums and private collections of Russia and other countries. |
