We have also received an offer for "free" ESL spaces at a private school "Culture

Works" which we will look further into as the refugees begin arriving.

There are other volunteers who may be interested in teaching ESL during the summer

should we not be able to solicit funds for formal classes and instructors.

The London Cross Cultural Learner Centre has contacted Citizenship and Immigration

Canada regarding the possibility of sponsoring E.S.L. summer programs for Adults. This

presentation is was made with the intent that a program could be run at either the Mosque

or Islamic Centre or at CCLC’s Oxford and Wonderland site – whatever is in the best

interests of the refugees. CIC suggested that we need to wait until the refugees arrive in

London to find out what the needs might be.
