Some Fishes Last Night
(Kaal Sararat kotoguli mach)

The fugitive fishes were retless all last night
In the sound of new water. Traveller, Where are they fleeing:
So many sounds, so much restlessness, so many instabilities
of this universe?
I have missed so many sunrises and I will miss so many sunsets,
Still, I am not hurrying like the fugitive fishes.
I will stay just a little longer against the current
Like a river, just a little longer.
Like the way the coral builds up its reef beneath the sea
Perpetual construction process burns in the heart of a man,
	Providing skeleton,
		Providing marrow,
			Providing heart-lungs
				and providing restlessness
Leaving off the skins of the soul layer by layer, building a solitary island
is still a possibility in this universe.
This life has seen so much from living with dictation from others.
Mixed in hatred and desire
A big portion of my past.
Has this face and soul received the the attention it deserved
						from itself?
The fugitive fishes were restless all last night, I was in sleep.
