When You Find My Body
When you find my body
tell her to cremate me,
for no trace should be left
of who I was
When you find my body
tell them I knew not how to live
with life's cruelty and pain
and unforgiving pasts
When you find my body
tell them to laugh
for life made a mockery of me;
why should they now mourn?
When you find my body
ask them for no money;
in life they hounded me my debts,
in death I choose to forget theirs
When you find my body
take down my pictures;
they should not remember
who I was
When you find my body
rejoice, rejoice that
one who knew not how to live
is now no more
When you find my body
say no prayers;
in life they weren't answered,
would they be now?
