At
the Spiritual Sanctuary, we believe that no one person or group is in
complete knowledge nor holds all the keys to spiritual
fulfillment. Our members value the diversity that we share as a
group, and we enjoy sharing about personal experiences and
feelings. Over time, this has become a very important part of who
we are, we have gained trust in each other, and we hold great joy and
pride in feeling free to share such deeply personal exchanges.
It's very important to us that our members respect that.
We
are all about having the freedom to express what inspires, fulfills, and
deepens our spirits. We share information about religious practices,
ideas about celebrating religious observances, there is LOTS of sharing
of spiritual/inspirational literature, and we often come to each other
for advice, comfort, and support. We aren't 'cliquish' or
clannish, but truly welcome the presence of new comers. If you are

things that inspire us (please excuse the disorganization, that part has
grown faster than we can organize it!), and then take a look at

When
you come back to the Join page.. this page.... there is a form
to fill in that collects some information about you. This
information is put in a table on a Members Only page. That page
is password protected and available only to members, because
some members don't want their websites, locations, or
email addresses available to anyone who websurfs. We take
this information so that we can get to know each other a little
better.
Members
are automatically subscribed to our Yahoo/Egroup list, where we
do the majority of our sharing. The posts to that list are
not visible to the public, nor is the member list. Web
surfers and interested people only see the links to various
pages in this website, the opening page of the club/list at
Yahoo, and may access our polls. You may elect to visit
the Yahoo site at any time once you are subscribed to access
files, old posts (some new members like to read old posts to see
how the conversations go) and generally poke around the
club. We do have very occasional chats in the Yahoo group
chat room. Those are well advertised/announced in advance
so that anyone who is interested can attend.
By
the way: We request that members be over 18, but we don't really
want to police that, so we ask that anyone under 18 who wishes
to join should realize that they will be expected to hold their
membership on an adult level.

Many
of our members have websites. It is no longer a requirement of the
Spiritual Sanctuary, but if you would like to share about your personal
beliefs and have a venue through which to express yourself more fully,
we encourage Members to share their sites. If you don't have a
website, one of the benefits of the Spiritual Sanctuary Membership is
that we have a team who will make you one! Go to the Pagemaking
form and fill it in... someone will contact you about your page.
However, this is a really slow process and will take a while to
complete. Sorry... but true.

and helping people to use our services.

Information - Helping to cultivate the libraries of information and art
as well as working on speakers for the chat room.
Healing and Celebrations- Celebrating, comforting, recognizing and general fun for members.
Causes and Charities- Working on cultivating online causes and
relationships with charities to which we can donate the profits from our
stores. (We are working on our stores)
Public Relations - Cultivating new members and making
networking contacts online.
