First, it was the Crucifixion. Then the Crusades, Spanish Inquisition and the Holocaust. And then Donnie and Marie Released, "Going Coconuts."
"I was in a record store at the time. It was raining and I was scared. Then this horrible sound came from the turntable. It was Donnie and Marie. Then suddenly, all hell broke loose. People panicked. Children were screaming. Shoppers were stepping over each other trying to get out of the store. But I just stood there, too stunned to move and listened to the whole thing. I've been to Vietnam, seen some horrible accidents - car crashes, train wrecks. But I'll never forget the day I heard, 'Going Coconuts'. It changed my life. And I doubt I'll ever be the same."
