![]() Win95 version download [Size 1.2MB+] Homepage : here Updated - Constantly The best MP3 player is WinAMP. What is an MP3, then? Well basically its a near-cd quality (compressed) WAV sound. One minute of WAV sound this quality (approx 44kHz) takes up 12 MB, which means it's not practical to store ordinary songs in it (30-80MB+ per song). MP3, however, takes up only approx 1MB per minute. Note that you'll need a Pentium to play these sounds in full quality. WinAMP has a cool interface and is easy to use. You can use plugins for this excellent player. Click here to get them, or here for new "skins", which change the surface of the program - check em out out! New Features:
Distributing songs and sounds on the Internet as MP3 is in a legal grey zone. Some companies allow only samples (e.g. one minute per song) of their material distributed, others think it's ok, while many spend time and money trying to stop it. For example, Geffen Records who surf the Net constantly looking for copyright violations and shutting the sites down...pikers. Amazing, if they thought there was a buck in it they'd be falling over each other to use the format.

When you've waited 8 hours because its a slow server and are at last 99% finished, you lose your Internet connection, or the server goes down. If you're not using GetRight, start all over again! GetRight makes it possible to resume downloads like this, as long as the server does.
