In this dark world of Satan and bad evil (not good evil, mind you. That stuff is okay), it's nice to know some one is still there to save us! Anime-wise, at least...
Even though there are only the five videos, Oh! My Goddess is one of my favorite anime' series. The series gives me hope and makes me feel good. This is the second anime' that I was exposed to.
The Series
Oh! My Goddess: The only series, Oh! My Goddess is one of the best series ever. The story? College loser Keichii Morisato accidentally calls Goddess Help Line and Belldandy is sent to grant Keichii one wish. Thinking it to be a joke, Keichii wishes that Belldandy would be his girlfriend forever! That's great, except he lives in a men's dormitory. I wonder what else will happen to the poor guy? Who cares, that punk has a goddess as a girlfriend and I don't. Of course I'm jealous! I ain't perfect...
The Characters
Keichii Morisato: Your standard college boy who's a loser with women (I sympathize with ya, bud!), Keichii is accidentally granted a wish by the goddess, Belldandy. His main interests are mechanics and getting a kiss from Belldandy. Come on, buddy! You lived with her for more than 5 months! Even I'm not that bad!
Belldandy: Goddess First Class, Belldandy is sent from place to place granting wishes until Keichii's wish. Her personality is perfect, since she's 100 percent goddess. Her powers are mostly in the realm of healing, but she has some mean magic attacks. After using too much power, Belldandy needs to sleep. Who cares? Everyone should have someone like Belldandy! Well, maybe not... just me. Now that's some wishful thinking.
Urd: Belldandy's big sister, Urd is half human, half goddess, so her personality is not what I would call perfect. Because of her "imperfections", her goddess license is limited, so she isn't the most respected in the heavens. Urd's short temper and laziness gets on the nerves of Keichii, who is trying to get in better relations with Belldandy (as if he needed help, the wimp...). Urd's attack magic is fairly strong, but her healing strength apparently isn't so great. She never thinks before she acts; big trouble!
Skuld: Skuld is Belldandy's little sister and a mechanical genius. Since she's only about 12 Earth years and doesn't have her goddess license, Skuld depends on her inventions instead of powers. This told, Skuld also has a streak of human in her, as she is a brat. Her goal is to get Belldandy to come back to the heavens. What a brat!
Other Characters
Sayoko: Sayoko is your standard rich girl. Her mission in life is to be popular at any costs. Of course, when she meets Belldandy, she becomes jealous of her beauty. Later on, she wants to steal Keichii from Belldandy, but probably just for revenge. Sayoko has the temper of a rattle snake, much like someone else I know...
Megumi: Megumi is Keichii's little sister, who, for about 5 months, lives with he and Belldandy. She's the energetic little sister anyone would want, maybe...
Tamiya: Tamiya is a student at Nekomi Tech, Keichii's school, and is more or less the leader of the auto club that Keichii is in. Tamiya is a big, muscular guy with a mouth just as big, but an inverted intelligence.
Otaki: Otaki is Tamiya's best friend and is about as big as Tamiya, has blonde hair, which he keeps spiked up, talks like he's from California, and wears leather most of the time. If you're not an Oh! My Goddess fanatic, you probably won't know who Otaki is, since his name is never mentioned in the series.
Toshiyuki Aoshima: A rich sly-boy out to steal Belldandy from Keichii, Aoshima is the president of a rival auto club at Nekomi Tech. He is convinced that he will always win everything, including Belldandy. Time for some good ol' backhanding!
Maria: Maria is that blonde, curly-haired girl in the title sequence. Though she isn't in the series, I thought it would be a good idea to point her out. She's a demon tormenting the goddesses in the Manga series (another must buy!!!).

Enough talk! Time to get that Goddess Stuff!!!
