This is my new baby, Moriarty, the cockatiel. Although it took about a month for him to get completely comfortable in his new home, he is a wonderful companion. He either sits on my shoulder or plays on his playground while I'm on the computer. He stays on my shoulder when I go out to get the mail or to the laundry room. He even comes out with me sometimes to run errands. He's very good in the car and in public. He loves to have his head and neck scratched. The reason his tail looks a bit thrashed in these pictures is that during a time of stress like adjusting to a new home, cockatiels have a habit of thrashing around in their cages. He is molting now and soon will have a long beautiful tail again. I will get more pictures then.
