With the proliferation of ribbon campaigns on the net (some of which are extremely serious) I decided there was a void in the area of miniature awareness. I feel it is important for so-called normal people to understand that just because we pick up small plastic things we find while we're jogging, save any wood bits that are at least 1/16 inch in size, ask our friends if we can have the tins after they've eaten all the cookies they received for Christmas, and make frequent trips to the copy center carrying a folder full of magazine clippings and used wrapping paper, that we are just as sane as the next guy! I encourage YOU (since you're the person reading this at the moment) to join the Mini Sanity Campain and proclaim to the world "I am not insane!". For all the info, read on. If you're ready to join now, please fill out the feedback form at the bottom of the page.
"O.K. Sounds great! How do I get involved?" or "Them's the FAQs"
Wow, that icon sure looks sharp. How much will it cost me?
It won't cost you one dime. Once you submit your application you're free to put the icon anywhere on your web site you like. Just make sure you link it back to this page. The link will be included in the html code which will be emailed to you after your membership submission is received.
How do I go about getting the icon on my web page?
Simply fill out the Membership Submission at the bottom of this page. Please be sure to fill in all fields. If you don't have a web site, just leave those questions blank. I will get back to you as soon as humanly possible (usually within 3 days). I'd also appreciate it if you would sign my guestbook while you're at it.
Does my web site have to be about miniatures?
Of course not! The point is to spread the word. As long as you are miniaturist friendly, you're in.
Do I have to have a web site to promote this campaign?
No, you can email everyone you know to tell them about it or you can add a link to your email signature to automatically send it every time you email anyone. Details will be emailed to you once your membership submission is received.
Certainly. You can put the icon on whichever pages you like. Be sure to let me know the URLs of each page, as I will list each page on which you display the icon in the member's list.
Can I add text to the link?
You betcha! The html code you will be sent is simply a link to this page and a link to the graphic. I encourage you to spice up the link on your site. You can add text like: "I'm proud to be a member of the Mini Sanity Campaign", "Join the Mini Sanity Campaign to promote miniature awareness", "Click here for more info", "The Mini Sanity Campaign saved my life", use your imagination. Just make sure you keep it clean.
Do I have to have my URL and name listed?
Absolutely not. If you don't want to be exposed, it's no skin off my back. Just let me know when you submit your application and I'll never mention you.
Do I have to link back to this page?
Yes!!! This is a very important point. The reason you're putting the icon on your page is to promote miniature awareness and increase the number of campaign members. If you remove the link to this page from the html code you will be sent, this purpose will not be achieved.
