When a Flower Dies

by Michael Lee-Price

When a flower dies,

An angel cries...

Don't ask me why.

They pay the cost,

When LOVE is lost

On wilted wings they can not fly.

They cry at graves,

For the souls unsaved

They ask why WARS do humans' wage.

We kill our kin;

'Tis this not sin?

Reject the LOVE that could have been.

GOD above,

Meant us to love...

Yet all these WARS still wage on.

He has given us voice,

By giving us choice;

To stand at his side and be ONE!

Then the Angels appear,

To lift us up from fear.

To Give us Hope and Love to be strong!

Yet we turn them aside,

is it our pride?

Why do we continue to do WRONG?
