The Imperial Ecclesiastical and Military Order of the Knights of the Red Cross of Rome and Constantine is an invitational organisation and is considered by many to be the highest honour that can be awarded within the Memphis Rite , Misraim Rite and York Rite Masonry. The membership of each Conclave is limited. An individual must have demonstrated a high level of dedication and performance in his Masonic activities, be proposed for membership by a member knight, and pass a unanimous ballot. The Imperial Ecclesiastical and Military Order of the Knights of the Red Cross of Rome and Constantine, also known as the Masonic and Military Order of the Red Cross of Constantine, was revived by Robert Wentworth Little in 1865 when he was only twenty-six years old. The Order achieved an immediate popularity. Between May 1865 and September 1871 sixty-two Conclaves were chartered. Of these fourteen were in Canada, eighteen in the USA and eight in India. Brother Robert Wentworth Little was one of the 3 Grand Conservator General 90 degree of the Misraim Rite Masonry in England, and was employed by the Grand Lodge of England in the Grand Secretary's office at Freemasons' Hall London. It was announced that the Antient and Primitive Rite of Misraim would be attached to the Red Cross Order for administrative purposes. The Order is very active in Latin America under its Governing body The Independent Sovereign Sanctuary of the Confederated Rites of Memphis and Misraim Masonry in and for Latin America and in the Iberic Peninsula, and has Jurisdiction in all Spanish and Portuguese speaking countries. The Order of Knighthood is based upon Trinitarian Christianity and was traditionally founded by Constantine the Great after the Battle of Saxa Ruba in 312 AD. The principles and attributes have been carried over into modern Freemasonry. |
La Orden Imperial Eclesiastica y Militar de los Caballeros de la Cruz Roja de Roma y Constantinopla es una Orden que solo admite a traves de invitacion y es considerada como siendo el mayor honor que puede ser atribuido dentro del Rito Masonico de Memphis, Rito Masonico de Misraim y el Rito de York. El numero de miembros de cada Conclave es limitado. Un individuo debera tener demostrado un alto nivel de dedicacion y empeno en su actividades Masonicas, ser propuesto a la Orden por un Miembro Caballero y pasar una votacion unanime . La Orden Imperial Eclesiastica y Militar de los Caballeros de la Cruz Roja de Roma y Constantinopla es tambien conocida como la Orden Masonica Militar de la Cruz Roja de Constantinopla, fue reactivada en 1865 por Robert Wentworth Little. La Orden alcanzo una inmediata popularidad entre Mayo de 1865 y Septiembre de 1871, sesenta y dos Conclaves fueron patentados. De entre estos catorce se realizaron en Canada, dieciocho en los Estados Unidos y ocho en la India. La Orden esta muy activa en Latino America y en la Peninsula Iberica bajo el gobierno del Soberano Santuario de los Ritos Confederados de Memphis y Misraim en y para Latino America, con Jurisdiccion en todos los paises de expresion castellana y portuguesa. La Orden de Caballeria se basa en la Trinidad Cristiana y fue fundada por Constantino el Grande despues de la Batalla de Saxa Ruba en el 312 AD.
