Hi, and welcome to Poppa's World History. The aim of this site
is to provide an easy to
read and enteraining look at world history, from the beginnings
of civilization to today.
History can tell us a lot about where we have been as a
species, and maybe even tell us
a little about where we are going as well.
One point I must make, though, is that this site is the result
of an interest that I have,
and not the result of any formal academic studies. My aim is
provide an overview of
history, trying to show the major trends that have shaped the
world we live in. This is
not a short term project, so I expect it to grow as time goes
on. Please enjoy.
