Main artillery: Four 10,5 cm. K.331(f)
Ready for battle: December 1941
The battery was built by German personnel. It was never completed,
but the guns were ready in the positions. A large tunnel with three
halls was built, and a shaft that was meant as a staircase up to
the planned control bunker ('leitstand') was also built, but the
tunnelsystem was never completed. The firing control was lead
from an improvised built bunker. Before completion of the tunnels
and the new 'leitstand', the battery was moved in April 1944 to
Måløy in the same county, to strenghten the defences there, and
became HKB 6./981 Blaali.
Today the battery is easy accessible, but some private land has to be
crossed before entering the tunnels. A fence is put up around the shaft,
because it is difficult to see in the terrain. All objects are visible, and not
much is overgrown. A few mines were not found after the war, and are probably still
there unless they have rusted away, which is most likely the case.
