-I have decided not to convert my pictures into thumbnails. I know this means long downloading time, but it also means less work for me, because the time I can afford to spend in front of the computer is somewhat limited. On the other side, I hope to have the pictures from MKB Örlandet and Kvalvik Fort out soon, hopefully also something new from HKB 36./977 Tellevik.
-Some of you might wonder where the pictures from MKB Fjell are since I made a conditional promise to put them out on my website. Thing is, they have to remain in my photo album, sorry. But there are good reasons for it though. If any of you have some special requests about the site, for example the M19 bunkers, I can do a scan and send to you under my usual terms and conditions for use.
-The Site-O link will not be working from 1. December. This is due to relocation and possibly redesign of the site. I wish them luck, because they have struggled a bit with maintenance problems, and for the good work they are doing.
-Some of the links that goes on MKB Trondenes, are to military websites. The thing is that they are relocating and deleting pages all the time, which mean it is nearly impossible for me to update and maintain these links. This has led to that two of the MKB Trondenes links are not working. What I'll do when I find the pages (I know they are there somewhere), is that I copy the text and pictures, and get permission to reproduce them directly onto my website. That way the links won't be disfunctional every other week.
14. November 1999:
-Just some general updates to show that this site is still going. I have limited chances to add major new contributions at the time, but they will come. Got plenty of pictures that are just waiting to be published. Also, the host has changed some of their ad banners. This might inflict on the text or pictures in a minor way, but where this is the case, it will be fixed ASAP.
-Quite soon (I hope) I will add pictures I have taken in other counties in Norway too.
I will list those sites I have pictures from, and not all those sites
that excist in a county, because it may take years before I can visit all the places.
-Added a new section where you can see other interesting objects, not
necessarily in connection to a fort or fortress, but a stronghold,
a lone MG-post, a bunker etc. First out are objects in the town of
Måløy.
-Done some changes to the site again. I can never make up my mind how to
organise it, but I think I am on the right track. I moved the
links
to a new location, so I can concentrate my own work on the first page.
16. August 1999:
-Added various information on the rest of the fortresses.
-Added more information on further six fortresses on the list. Some useful stuff, if
you are visiting the site.
13. August 1999:
-Added information on the first five fortresses on the list. It is
mostly information on the condition today, and some information
that can be useful when visiting the sites. More to come on the
others soon.
12. August 1999:
-The problem about the Norwegian letter/characters is now solved.
-Due to some problems with the server, some of the unique Norwegian letters as æ, ø and å will be
written as X, V or E, or other letters. This leads to misspelling of some of the battery names on the site.
I hope it will be fixed soon.
-One of the Trondenes Fort links is not working. The page has moved, and I have lost
the new adress, but I will find it so I won't remove the link. Until I have found the
new page, the disfunctional link will be marked with ** in each end of it.
