DKN- Web Authoring Extraordinaire Who knew I would be a web author. I figured that graphic artist, comic publisher, filmmaker and indentured servant would be about it for me but here I am with my eyes glued to the HTML at 3 am. I'm happy to announce the near completion of my efforts to revamp the "Mad Beanz" web site. Although "Mad Beanz" is a brand new site (about three weeks old), a ton of work when into creating this project. It's my first web site so let me know how I did. Do those images take an hour to load on your computer? Do the menus take you where you want to go? Does that crazy inferno background give you eye strain? I know that even after my latest efforts it still won't be perfect. And of course web sites are never finished so.... in another few weeks it will be back to the drawing board! -DKN-
Artist Hunt Obviously Smorgasbord Productions does not have a ton of publications (at least not in printed matter form). There is the convention special and actually that's about it. So, what's keeping us from keeping us from starting our multimillion dollar advertising campaign, launching our new series and selling copies across the world? Well, not having the multimillion dollars kinda kills the multimillion ad campaign but mostly what we need are ARTISTS!! Yes, we need some talented illustrators. DKN has authored some 40+ stories for "Mad Beanz" (The nut's even working on the sequel series, the spin-off titles, the script for the movie and the 3-D online TV series scripts!?!) Obviously with all the writing he's forgotten that you actually need to draw pictures in order to make a comic book. He's a nutty creator. Anyway, we started advertising for artists last year at this time but the flood of so-so art we got was not very promising. Serves us right for putting up ads in a preschool. So, this year we are not putting up any ads for the general public- nope! We're targeting the best artists in the world and contacting them directly ourselves. Yep, don't call us, we'll call you. That's DKN's Hollywood mentality at work- the self-conceited bastard :) (don't fret DKN, I meant that in the best way possible!) THEREFORE if we contacted you then feel good about yourself! We picked only a couple hundred artists out of thousands and thousands. I know because I had to search places like Anipike and other artist showcases trying to find the creme de la creme. Boy, that nut makes me work hard! -JE-
