A Report from the Plant
Lover's Commission
As a specialist in the
field of Plant Psychology, Henry Hunt understood
that a happy plant in touch with its emotions would
be a stronger and more productive plant. Earlier
studies indicated that plants respond positively to
such stimuli as their favorite music and pleasant
conversation. Hunt therefore strove to create the
Hyper Sensitive Sprout, a new bean plant which
would have a larger response to stimuli and
therefore have the potential to produce large
numbers of beans at great speeds. Hunt created the
sprout using the genes from three different bean
plants; phaseolus multiflorus, glycine max and
phaseolus vulgaris and then subjected the seedling
to prolonged Freudian electroshock psychobabble and
lemon/lime assertive anal retention treatments.

The exact results of the
experiment are not yet known at this time. However,
it is alleged that this same plant is responsible
for the creation of the bean creatures and the wide
spread overgrowth of vegetation throughout the
