OVERLY SENSITIVE SPROUT

A NOBLE EFFORT GONE AWRY

A Report from the Plant Lover's Commission

As a specialist in the field of Plant Psychology, Henry Hunt understood that a happy plant in touch with its emotions would be a stronger and more productive plant. Earlier studies indicated that plants respond positively to such stimuli as their favorite music and pleasant conversation. Hunt therefore strove to create the Hyper Sensitive Sprout, a new bean plant which would have a larger response to stimuli and therefore have the potential to produce large numbers of beans at great speeds. Hunt created the sprout using the genes from three different bean plants; phaseolus multiflorus, glycine max and phaseolus vulgaris and then subjected the seedling to prolonged Freudian electroshock psychobabble and lemon/lime assertive anal retention treatments.

The exact results of the experiment are not yet known at this time. However, it is alleged that this same plant is responsible for the creation of the bean creatures and the wide spread overgrowth of vegetation throughout the city. The Plant Lover's Commission will continue to
