STORY: Rick, Penny, Greg and Belch are not the brightest or most motivated students at their high school. They have all been held back a year due to their rebellious pranks and lack of discipline. As underachievers they all fear graduation and the thought of entering the work force. Unfortunately, they all need money.
Therefore, when Victor Homeless III, a mysterious smelling man, offers them an opportunity to make money the easy way, they jump at the chance and sign away their lives to become the Mighty Moronic Merchandisable Manqué Rangers. They soon find out that they got more than they bargained for as they have to fight against an alien colonization conspiracy that is years in the making. The reluctant rangers discover that they are the only ones who can stop Baron Von Barnay and an army of alien dinosaurs from completing the final phase in their plan to turn all of Earth's human inhabitants into the menu items of an intergalactic sushi bar. The time for Earth to fight back has arrived!
THEMES: Lawyers, Mechs & Money focuses on the struggle to find one's direction in life. Each of the characters must break free from the limitations which they and others have placed on them. They must discover their identities amid the trials they face.
The story focuses on consumerism and the destructive effects it can have on peoples' lives. Advertising campaigns often brain wash people, making them buy what they do not need and become dependent upon the labor of others. Not that that's entirely bad but it leaves us vulnerable- unprepared for the revelation that we are not consumers but the consumed. |
