Here is the new station on the dining room table prior to installation.
This station was fabricated with a 3/4 inch plywood core that was glued
and screwed together. A rabbit was routed around the windows to allow installation
of Plexiglas windows. I used Northeastern Doll House Clapboard siding and
home cut cedar for the trim. Titebond II waterproof glue was used throughout.
The base of the roof was 1/4 inch hardboard with doll house shingles on
top. The station was then painted with Floquil paints. Unfortunately these
paints are not designed for outdoor use thus forcing the station to be
painted ever few years.
Here is the plywood core before the siding and windows were added.
