Gerald K. Church, 70, Kansas City, KS, died
Sunday, April 4, 1999, at Providence Medical Center. Funeral services will be
10 a.m. Thursday, April 8, at Stoney Point Baptist Church, 7938 Barnett,
Kansas City, KS; burial in Mount Moriah South Cemetery, 105th & Holmes
Rd., Kansas City, MO. Friends may call 5-7 p.m. Wednesday at Meyers
Family Funeral Home, 6300 Parallel Pkwy, Kansas City, KS. There will also
be a viewing 9:30-10 a.m. Thursday at the church. Memorial contributions may
be made to the Muncie Christian School, 230 S. 65th, Kansas City, KS
66111.Mr. Church was born April 26, 1928, in Lone Jack, MO. He was an
ordained minister. He pastored Prairie Lee Bible Church from 1955-1960, and
taught at Muncie Christian School for 30 years. He had been a visitation
minister for Stoney Point Baptist Church for the past 20 years. Mr. Church had
two books of poetry published. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Peggy
Ann Church; two sons, Jonathan R. Church, Overland Park, KS, and Chad D.
Church, Kansas City, KS; two daughters, Melissa A. Buehler, Basehor, KS,
and Stephanie K. Church, Kansas City, KS; and six grandchildren.
