Martin - Maria's little brother, also blond and blue-eyed, he is cute but can cause trouble.  

Antonio - a handsome friend of Maria's who is the same age, he wants to marry Maria.  He disapproves of Maria getting involved with Fuana's family, though all three of them used to play together as children.  He is also kind of a playboy.  

Kojirou - the young samurai that comes with the group, I think he is the bodyguard of the main guy.  He is very handsome; and though he seems reserved, he helped Martin when he was lost in Fuana's castle and calmed him down.  

Fuana - a friend of Maria's and the daughter of the local lord, Fuana seems quiet and gentle.  She is nice, and might have a thing for Antonio.  

Tsunegawa or Hasekura-a samurai who came with the group, he stabs Kojirou on Tadamune's orders. 

Tadamune-Kojirou's twin brother, from Kojirou's memories he seems to care mostly for position and power, though when they were growing up they were always together. 

Masamune-Kojirou's father, a great samurai who rules over Northern Japan.  He told Kojirou to take Kojirou as his name.
