Part
2 (October 1998): The Prince's Situation...
Looking at Rozeus,
Rupika thinks back to her childhood, when she was made fun of because of
her 'horn', and how she didn't care because she knew that one day, her
prince, having the same thing on his head, would come to get her.
She wonders if that prince is before her eyes. The other aliens grab
her and tell Rozeus to come down or they'll take her tiara. Rozeus
breaks off a small piece of his crown and tosses it into the air.
It flares brightly, blinding the aliens and allowing Rozeus to take Rupika
and Alpha to a safe place. Rozeus asks her name, and Rupika tells
him, asking him how he made that flare before and if his horn is okay.
Rozeus tells her that the man's is called the Twinkle Crown and the girl's,
the Twinkle Tiara, and that they can gain powers from stars because of
them. He also says that the meeting between the Tiara and the Crown
is destined, and no matter how far apart they are, they instinctively know
each other(there's something here I don't understand). Rupika thinks
then that Rozeus felt it as well, and Rozeus and Rupika are looking at
each other when a laser shot blasts between them, from Alpha. Alpha
asks how long Rozeus was intending to continue this, and says that thanks
to him, this star will also become strange. Before Alpha can shoot
Rozeus, Rupika knocks him down, and he hits his head on a rock and knocks
himself out. Rozeus thanks her for saving him, and asks her to tell
Alpha to take care of things. Rupika asks what Rozeus will do now,
and he says he's going on to the next star, and he'll see her later.
Then he kisses her on the cheek, and leaves.
Back in the spaceship, Rupika feels sorry that she's made Alpha hit his
head twice now, and moves to take off his hat, but Toy stops her.
He says that Alpha doesn't like to have his hat taken off(wonder what's
under there^_^) and to let him handle the rest. Rupika asks why Alpha
is trying to capture Rozeus, when they both seem like good people to her.
Toy says that Rozeus is their home planet's prince, and he shouldn't be
away from it, but one day he suddenly left. If it was just that,
it would be fine, but every planet that Rozeus visits has its balance thrown
off by the power of his crown, and something else(I don't know).
For this purpose, Alpha is chasing him because he's a policeman.
Rupika is surprised, since he's the same age as her, and wonders if she
shouldn't have stopped him from catching Rozeus, but at the same time,
still can't believe that Rozeus is such a bad person. Then she motices
that the Bunny Moon is bigger than usual, and realizes that it's because
Rozeus' visit has caused it to start falling towards the planet!
Part
3 (November 1998): Panic Rakariina...
Rupika manages to return the moon to its original place in the sky thanks
to her tiara's power before Alpha can try. Alpha and Toy get back
on the spaceship, though Alpha pauses a bit. Once back on the ship,
Alpha comments that it's strange that Rupika didn't try to go with them,
since she believed the story about the Tiara and the Crown's fated meeting.
Toy says Alpha understands Rupika's personality very well, and Rupika steps
onto the bridge, holding a bag with her luggage. So Rupika starts
on her space journey...
Part
4 (December 1998): First Contact...
Rupika is introduced to the ship's human incarnation. The ship's
name is Camelia, and seems very nice. She says to Alpha that he must
be happy to have met the Tiara, which Alpha doesn't seem to agree with.
She also introduces Rupika to her children, lots of adorable little space-turtles,
and asks Rupika if she likes Alpha, which Rupika vehemently denies, saying
it's Rozeus she's interested in. Rupika goes on a ride in one of
the space-turtles. Alpha is conferring with Toy, saying that Rupika
has to go back to her home planet, because being near the Tiara is too
difficult. Rupika hears part of their conversation, and upset about
being sent back, takes the baby turtle into outer space. She thnks
she's escaped but Alpha appears beside her in the ship, saying that he
will take her back. Rupika's so upset she shocks him along with the
ship, and they crash land on an unknown planet. Alpha doesn't know
anything about the planet, and is arguing with Rupika when they and the
space turtle are caught in a big hanging net. Figures appear, saying,
"We've caught you now, thief!" but then the figures realize that
they're just children. They come into the light, and they're all
Santas!
Part
5 (January 1999): A Present for Santa...
Rupika and Alpha land on a planet of Santas, the race that goes about and
distributes presents for Christmas. The Santas are looking for the
thief who stole the crowning star off their tree which holds all the Christmas
presents. Without it, the tree has become covered in ice and none
of the presents can be taken off. They meet a girl, Marissa, who
always complains about the Santas' job because they never receive any presents
themselves, but only give them to the rest of the universe. She likes
them and brings them to her home, introducing them to her childhood friend,
Clauser. She says everybody suspects them of stealing the star because
they always speak out against the present-giving, and Alpha tells them
they should find the star themselves to clear their name. They look
for it, and Alpha tells Rupika that Rozeus might have stolen it, which
makes her happy because she thinks that maybe she can meet him. Alpha
tells her probably not, since there are so many places for him to hide,
and Rupika is so depressed by this that Alpha says if they're really meant
to be together, maybe they'll see each other, when Rozeus appears on a
treetop. Rupika is happy and prevents Alpha from trying to catch
Rozeus. Rozeus tells Alpha a reason for letting Rupika stay with
him, and then disappears. It turns out that it was only a holograph.
Meanwhile, Marissa and the others are searching diligently for the star.
Marissa sees something shiny in the branches of a tree, and pulls out the
star! Just then, other Santas see her and think that they've found
the thief, and Marissa is hauled off to the town square. Alpha and
Rupika see, and despite Alpha's protests , is going to use part of her
tiara to help her when Clauser comes forward and tells everyone that he
was the thief! He apologizes and says he intended to return it, after
he gave a present to her, because he wanted to be the first person to give
her a present. Everyone is happy, and when Rupika holds the star,
the ice on the tree breaks and all the presents are released. Also,
there were presents addressed to each Santa. That done, all the Santas
left on their voyages to distribute presents among the galaxy, and Rupika
asked Alpha if it was okay that she stay with the Camelia(the turtle spaceship),
since Rozeus said she should. Alpha agreed, and the author notes
that Rupika doesn't understand Alpha's current feelings.
Part 6 (February
1999): Stop the War!
Now that Rupika is an
acknowledged member of the crew, she's doing her best to help out-cooking
meals, cleaning, gardening, etc. Alpha doesn't seem to appreciate
it, and they fight a lot. Their next stop is "Oniga", a planet where
two races, Red Onis and Blue Onis, live. They're supposed to be peaceful,
but it seems that recently war has broken out. Toy says perhaps Rozeus
visited and that's why the people changed, and if so, it's their responsibility
to fix it. Alpha and Rupika go down to check it out, Rupika thinking
it would be nice if Rozeus is still around. Suddenly a bomb(or something)
goes off nearby, and Rupika says so they really are at war, and it's good
that they didn't land near that place. Alpha says he computed that,
because he's not an idiot. Rupika says he's implying that she is
an idiot, and says he's always mean to her. She walks the other way,
saying she doesn't want to walk with him, and bumps into a big oni.
The oni says he doesn't recognize her but she has a horn so she must be
an oni child, and takes her. Rupika calls out to Alpha but he's disappeared!
Alpha is hiding, saying she'll be fine until he can discover whether Rozeus
has been here. Rabu says what if something happens to Rupika, and
Alpha says she can always shock them. Rabu says Rupika can't shock
people just by wanting to, which Alpha didn't know. Back in the Oni
Village(where Rupika has been taken) the Oni's are preparing for a battle
with the Blue Oni's. They approach Rupika menacingly, saying she's
not dressed appropriately for war, and they'll change her clothes...
Alpha and Rabu rush to
save Rupika, when they find her safe, just having different clothes on.
She's still upset though, having had her clothes forcibly changed and being
'that age'. She asks Alpha why he didn't save her, she was so scared,
when two other Oni's come in. They think that Rupika and Aplha are
spies from the other side(Rupika shocked the other Oni's), and Alpha picks
up Rupika and runs for it. Rupika says she can run herself, and Alpha
says swouldn't be able to keep up with him. They're stopped by a
wall of Oni's- the enemy! The pursuing Oni's catch up, and forget
about Rupika and Alpha. There's a faceoff between the two sides,
and then-they start throwing confetti! It's a solstice party.
Alpha and Rupika return
to the ship. Rupika thanks Alpha for saving her, and Alpha apologizes
for not doing it sooner, and says he'll be more careful from now on.
Rupika thinks that even though Rozeus wasn't there, and it was just a string
of bad luck, at least she and Alpha became a bit better friends.
Part 7 (March 1999): Festi-Barge...
Alpha and Rupika have been pursuing Rozeus
for a month when he suddenly shows up in the spaceship and mysteriously
gives himself up. Rupika thinks back to it and says that event spelled
the end of the adventure. When Alpha asks why, he says because if he doesn't
return soon his people will be troubled. Rupika asks if she can visit his
planet and Rozeus says of course. Rupika is very happy, and Alpha demands
to know what Rozeus plans to do with Rupika. Rozeus tells him he doesn't
need to worry about that, and says that as long as he fulfills his role
as king, Alpha's troubles are over, right? and Alpha reluctantly agrees.
Alpha then says until they reach the planet, Rozeus is confined, and pulls
Rupika out with him into the hall. Rup ika asks Alpha why she can't stay
wit h Rozeus, and Alpha says because she'll make it easy for Rozeus to
escape. Rupika, joking, says Alpha is acting like he's jealous, and asks
if it bothers him that much for her to be near Rozeus. Alpha faces Rupika
and asks Rupika what she would do if he agreed, and Rupika doesn't know
what to say. Alpha turns back around and walking away, says he was lying.
Rupika calss him an idiot, and thinks that for a moment she believed him.
She tells herself that she likes Rozeus. In the room, Rozeus takes off
his hat(which was hiding his crown) and thinks that there's not much time
left. He looks at his horn, and it's turning black from the tips inward.
So the space turtle Camelia heads for home(the planet Festi=Barge) with
everyone inside, Rupika wondering what sort of place Rozeus'(and Alpha's)home
is. They arrive, and she says it's a brightly shining planet in the middle
of the galaxy. They descend from the spaceship, and many citizens are there
to greet them. An advisor type of person, Haru, asks Rozeus to sit on the
throne, since their people have been waiting for him. He also greets Alpha,
and starts to ask if Rupika is possibly...something, but before he can
finish Alpha stops him, saying he hasn't told her yet. Rozeus is led away
to the throne room, and Toy suggests that Alpha and Rupika rest. Both of
them go to a sitting room, and Rupika asks Alpha if he is also an important
person on this world, because everybody treats him with great respect.
Alpha evades the question, saying that from the window they can watch the
throne room, and Rupika goes to see. Rozeus is standing in the middle of
the room in front of hundreds of people, and Rupika says that he really
looks like a god. Alpha says that the Crown and Tiara are born to govern
from the throne and to unite all the planets. Then he says that he thinks
he should tell Rupika. He says that Rupika's fated partner is not Rozeus.
Before Rupika can ask Alpha what he means, Rozeus begins to speak. He apologizes,
telling everyone that he no longer has the power to govern the planets,
and removes his hat, showing everybody his crown, now totally black except
for the very central tip. Everyone is shocked and horrified, and Rupika
asks what's going on, since she can't see it very well. Alpha exclaims
that the Crown's lifespan is up, and that when a star's life ends becomes
a black hole. As he says it, the space around Rozeus disappears, sucking
everything with it into blackness. Rozeus is still there, but everything
else is gone. The black hole, with Rozeus at the centre, grows, and Alpha
yells for everyone to escape. Rupika wants to stay and try to save Rozeus,
because she's the Tiara, and Alpha says that he'll go instead. Suddenly
the ground beneath them splits and Rupika falls into the crack. Alpha jumps
after her, and they fall together, Alpha shielding Rupika. We see pictures
of Toy looking for Alpha and the people of the planet getting on the turtle
spaceships. Rupika thinks that in those moments when everything was collapsing,
what she saw was...
Alpha and Rupika slam onto ground and roll,
Alpha always protecting Rupika. Alpha asks Rupika if she's alright, and
she opens her eyes to see Alpha without his hat-he has a crown!
Final Chapter(April
1999): New Galaxy
Rabu is crying about Rupika and Alpha disappearing
when Toy come along and picks him up. Rabu asks Toy to do something for
them, but Toy says they’ll be alright.
In the void, Rupika is staring at Alpha.
She asks him why he has a crown, and why he hid it untilv now. Alpha says
there’s no time to talk now, and then collapses because of his injuries.
Rupika thinks that he has horrible wounds, and all because he was shielding
her, and holds him as water approaches them. It washes them away, and Rupika
loses hold of Alpha. She wonders again why he hid his crown, and sees a
vision...
Alpha is dreaming about when his mother
died without his father because he was away working as the Crown. He thought
that though there is a very strong bond between the Tiara and Corwn, ultimately
their relationship is just for the sake of someone governing the universe.
He told his father that he wasn’t going to meet the Tiara or become King,
because he didn’t want to become like him. Who is he talking to? Rozeus!
That’s right, Rozeus is Alpha’s father, and Rupika realizes this finally.
Suddenly the vision crumbles and Alpha is
standing in front of her. He says it’s true, Rozeus is actually an adult.
Rupika asks if it’s the real Alpha this time, and Alpha apologizes for
hiding his crown for something so unreasonable. He says he never thought
tht it would cost Rozeus’ life. Rupika suddenly hugs him, and says it’s
not unreasonable at all, and he was very earnest when he made the decision.
More than that, she just glad he’s okay. She wonders if it’s just because
he’s the Crown, but then decides it’s not only that. They’re interrupted
by Rozeus’ voice, saying they’ve put his mind at rest. He says his body
is gone, disappearing into the darkness. He says he’s sorry, that his trip
among the stars was just to bring about their meeting, and he created these
circumstances. He says now the only ones who can make the black hole disappear
is the combined power of the Crown and Tiara. His voice fades, and Rupika
sadly wonders if he’s gone. Rupika asks Alpha what they have to do, and
Aplha says if he takes the throne and acknowledges himself as king, the
black hole should stop. Rupika tells him that she thinks that even though
they couldn’t be together, Rozeus and Alpha’s mother loved each other,
because Alpha was born. Alpha agrees. Alpha asks if Rupika will help him,
and Rupika agrees happily. The people watching from above see a point of
light within the black hole, and then... It cuts to Rupika’s home planet,
where two girls pass by Rupika’s grandfather. One comments that a few days
ago, after the night sky became totally blinding for a moment, when the
starry sky returned it seemed somehow reborn and even more beautiful than
before. Rupika’s grandfather wonders where Rupika is and how she is doing,
and a stranger(Toy) appears before him and hands him a letter. It’s from
Rupika, and she says she’s sorry it took her so long to write him, but
she’s very happy. She now lives on Festi-Barge, a very beautiful planet(here
it shows a crowd, and who else is hiding in it but Rozeus^_^) and each
day is enjoyable, but more than anything else, she is happy because she
is with her prince, who has the same horn as she. It shows a picture of
her with Alpha, and says she has found happiness.
