Rosemarie Ford was born Spring
of 1962 [Pisces], in a tiny village in North Yorkshire, England
and has a sister named Christine. She started dancing lessons
when she was six years old as the local dancing school. She attended
secondary school [high school] at Sherbourne School and was at
one time the high-jump champion there, and excelled in other
sports as well. After finishing her exams at the age of 17 from
a dancing school in Leeds she moved to London to perform on stage.
In an interview Rosemarie said that she had always wanted to
be a performed since she started taking dance lessons.
Basing most of her career in
the UK, Rosemarie is best known as the Bruce Forsyth's assistant
in the popular series The Generation Game, which she took up
in 1990, and December of 1994. She's also known as the hostess
of Come Dancing, another popular UK show. But she's done a lot
more than that, so check out her credits. Rosemarie has made
several appearances on TV in different shows including The Big
Breakfast, Gotcha!, and Pebble Mill. She also has an extensive
history with the theatre playing lead roles in Cats, Divorce
Me Darling!, Panto, and several other productions.
Other than dancing, singing,
and all those other things she is known for, she enjoys decorating,
riding her bike and caring for her two dogs Dodger and Chelsea.
She is not however, a computer freak like most of us [I can imagine]
but she has begun to become more internet friendly.
Rosemarie is currently involved
with and lives with Robert Lindsay, another respected theatre
performer. The extent of their relationship is unknown, but that's
none of out business now is it?
Rosemarie's favourite book
is [or was] Alice in Wonderland by C.S. Lewis, and at one time
played the White Rabbit on stage. The first movie she saw was
The Sound of Music when she was six. "I can remember watching
the film and wishing that I was one of the Von-Trapps."
