I have
been fortunate enough to have gotten in touch with people who
have written to Rosemarie Ford before, and have received replies
from her!
Rosemarie replies to her fanmail
herself (very spiffy) and she'll usually include a personally
autographed black and white photograph.
Although I could have posted
the scanned letters and autographs, instead I asked those who
received letters from Rosemarie to write up a short bit about
it. That way it's not so much an invasion of privacy, I think
its the respectable thing to do.

getting in touch with me, and starting us off. Remember if you've
written to Rosemarie, even hough you haven't replied, I'd love
to hear from you.

Rosemarie Ford, that amazing
dancer with the beautiful voice. I had admired
her in the video as Bombalurina and wanted to tell her how much
I looked up
to her as a dancer, singer, & actress. Turning to that constant
source: the
Internet, I discovered the official RUG site of Cats which had
posted the
addresses of each and every one of the actresses & actors
from the Video.
Thrilled, I copied down each of them and composed a letter to
Ms. Ford.
This was in May of '99 and, being the naive girl that I am, I
hoped
incessantly for a response. When a letter did come for me from
England, I
nearly screamed. That doesn't sound very eloquent, but it's very
true and I
was shocked beyond compare, ripping up the envelope with shaking
hands. She
had sent me a very nice reply letter thanking me for my letter
and wishing
me all the best of luck. She has very nice handwriting, and I
got a signed
picture for me and my best friend, who composed the letter with
me. I am
working on a reply letter at the moment, and if she replies to
that, be
prepared for a second summary!

Well I am creating this page,
so I decide I should write a short something here too. I wrote
to Rosemarie in August, and hopefully I should get a reply soon,
but there's no rush I don't suppose. I wrote to her about how
great I thought she was in the video, and how I wish I could
have seen her in other things as well. I also mentioned that
I would be creating a site dedicated to her (this was before
I started work on the site). I wrote it rather formally I think,
trying a little too hard maybe, but I'm just glad I did write
her, instead of putting off again and again. But Rosemarie rocks!
Yeah! She's so good at everything it's amazing!

I wrote to Rosemarie Ford in
January '99, and I really didn't expect her to
reply, as she has a very busy schedule. I told her how much I
loved her
voice and the brilliant way she acts, among other things - her
dancing,
great smile etc! I really didn't think she would write back,
but I was glad
to be able to express my appreciation for her talent anyway.
However,
because she is such a wonderful and nice person, she DID reply!
And what a
nice surprise! The day I got the envelope marked 'PAR AVION'
I could hardly
believe my eyes. I was so happy! She also included a signed photo
in the
envelope. I even wrote back to her, thanking her for the kind
response. I
will always appreciate this act of kindness. Thank you, Ms. Ford!
I will
always admire you.
