I came upon him slowly a glowing of delight.
He looked into the darkness and wondered what was there.
He took a step into it, and pretended not to care.
He heard the stillness all around,
and in the stillness this he found;
A quiet place at last to stay.
A quiet place alone to pray.
A quiet place for him to find
His heart his mind his soul
At last he knew that he was whole
and not a half a man was he
who finally found true liberty.
