The Calabash Crew

Hi, the phrase "Calabash Crew" was coined by us three, when we went harvesting the elusive calabash fruit. Here is a collection of pics, and info.

The PRETTY me!

This is the PRETTY me!

Mathilda Eustaquio, head of Public Relations!

(sung to the tune "I believe I can fly" by R Kelly)
I believe I can fly
I believe I can touch the sky
I think about it every night and day
Spread my wings and fly away
I believe I can soar
I see me running through that open door
I believe I can fly
I believe I can fly
I believe I can fly

The crab
Here is a pic of Coconut crab (a land crab that grows to LARGE proportions with age!) He died shortly after the photo taking on 3/20/99. He isn't very large by international crab standards, but with over harvesting and stuff on Guam, he is considered quite large.

Me holding the crab
Here is a pic of me bravely attempting the Chamorro Ayuyu hold of death! :) Actually, it should be called the Chamorro Ayuyu hold of pain, (Chamorro is the native peoples of Guam), (Ayuyu, ah-joo-joo is the coconut crabs name in Chamorro (the language)) cause if you don't do it correctly, he'll (the crab) reach around and make sure he doesn't let go! :)
