Thesis Advisor 
Dr. Stone studied at Yale College (BA, 1982) and the University of California at Berkeley (Ph.D.in English, 1996).  Since 1997, he has been Assistant Professor of English and Comparative Literature at the American University in Cairo, where he teaches Shakespeare, Renaissance Literature, and Modern Literary Theory. He is also Associate Editor of the ECLT-housed journal of comparative poetics, Alif.  In addition, he has to his name a number of essays published in Shakespeare Studies, Assays, and The Milton Quarterly. He is currently completing a book entitled Shakespearean Androgyny: Crossing the Mirror.
