If you had purchased a small painting by Darryl Nantais in 1975, you may have paid just ten pounds for it. Ten years later a similar sized painting would have cost you about sixty five pounds, or for something larger around 24" X 18" you could have paid in the region of
two hundred pounds. By nineteen ninety five the same kind of paintings began selling for one hundred and fifty for a small 10"X 8" and two hundred and eighty pounds for a 24" x 18". In nineteen ninety seven some small paintings fetched over three hundred pounds, and a 24" x 18" between three and five hundred pounds. In nineteen ninety nine prices for larger works of 36" x 30" upwards were fetching in excess of eight hundred pounds.
From January 2000 asking prices have risen still further with a
10" x 8" around the three to four hundred pound mark. A 24" X 18" will now cost you over six hundred pounds and any new larger works are likely to cost in the region of two to three thousand pounds.
Exhibitions of the work by Nantais have been one success after another and those who purchase his work have a rare prize indeed. The quality of his work goes from strength to strength, and with Nantais in his mid-forties we all await a treasure of new work to become available.

(Archive News) The Exhibition of paintings last weekend by Darryl Nantais at The Lothbury Centre, Weston Colville in Cambridgeshire was declared a fabulous success by hosts Michael & Helen Singer. The private viewing was very busy with closing time extended to accomodate the interest as visitors arrived from many miles away.
Many of those who had the opportunity to see the work expressed amazment at the versatility of this artist. This was the first time that Nantais has exhibited such a variety of work since his first public exhibition in Norwich over twenty years ago.
Some large paintings beaming down at us like grand old masters and other smaller works hung like jewels on the walls. All the work on show has been completed this year adding to the mystery of Nantais' prolific output.
Although many of the works by Nantais from the show are now in the hands of collectors, the Lothbury Centre house a number of his works on show to the public until Christmas. To find out visiting times, please call The Centre on (01223)290995. PRESS RELEASE.PRESS RELEASE.PRESS RELEASE. PRESS RELEASE.PRESS RELEASE.PRESS RELEASE. PRESS RELEASE.PRESS RELEASE.PRESS RELEASE.
