The human body runs on an electrical nervous system (this includes their brain).
Millions of electric pulses are flying around this system every second, creating an ever changing electric field, emanating through out the universe to infinity.
Now, where ever we have a changing magnetic field (called flux) touching a conductor, this creates an electric current in the conductor.
So, what is a suitable conductor, hmm.. perhaps someone else's nervous system ;)
Admittedly, for a pulse to pass from one nervous system to another it has to pass through the senders flesh, some air, and then the receivers flesh, making the pulse rather weak - but it IS still there!
So we have established that your nerve pulses are felt in other peoples nervous systems. SO WHAT?
Well in your brain is a whole mass of pulses for every thought, and these go off in a particular pattern. These patterns (or vibrations to use a more occultic term) are picked up by the receiver as slight alterations in their own pattern.
The subconscious is a very powerful instrument, it's thinking over 2000 thoughts a second!
Now here is the only part which is not CONCRETE simple science
Is it not possible that it can learn to decipher these fluctuations?
