| Adel R. Al-Hillawi (aka Rahoumi)
was born in Alexandria, Egypt on July 11, 1957. He is Iraqi and lived in
Iraq until 1977. He has been a resident of the USA since 1984. Adel has
a BS in Cartography from the University of Alexandria, Egypt. He also worked
on his Masters Degree in graphic design at California State University
at Fullerton.
"Art for me is the ultimate escape from our
daily suffering. I try to find refuge in it and try to solve the world's
problems through it. It is my way of rising up against all the injustice
that has haunted our people for such a long time. Through it, I find
